WHO: Air Pollution = Biggest Environmental Health Risk

Dr. Maria Neira, Director of WHO’s Department for Health, Environmental and Social Determinants of Health, is quoted as saying, "Few risks have a greater impact on global health today than air pollution.” What about the risks of electrosmog?  Last year, I wrote her a personal letter concerning the risks, which was never answered. Even though the IARC/ WHO classified electromagnetic radiation as “possibly carcinogenic”, it continues to deny the health risks: “To date, no adverse health effects have been established as being caused by mobile phone use” (see WHO Fact Sheet).

Air pollution is the world's largest single environmental health risk, the World Health Organization said on Tuesday.

According to the body's just released estimates, seven million people died in 2012 as a result of air pollution. That amounts to one in 8 deaths worldwide.
