Today's Kids Better at Using Smartphone Than Tying Their Shoes

"The idea of a nation of people who can’t tell time without looking at their iPhone is horrifying...  More than a third of children under age 2 play on their parents’ mobile phones, according to a 2013 study by Common Sense Media. This number is only rising."

The results of a British survey are quite depressing. London-based Optical Specialist Lenstore found that more than half of today’s kids are better at using a smart phone than telling time, swimming and tying their shoelaces.

Lenstore surveyed 2,000 parents of children ages two to 16 in the UK and asked them about their children’s ability to perform certain activities. Here’s a look at the percentage of kids who were able to do each task:
