Apple Adopts Distracting "Pink-Washing" Practice

This is a blatant example of "pink-washing" by Apple: donating funds to breast cancer research through a company which produces cell phones emitting  toxic microwave radiation, classified by the World Health Organization as "possibly carcinogenic" to humans. The habit of placing a cell phone in one's bra over a long period of time increases the risk for breast cancer. Prevention is the only effective means of halting the breast cancer epidemic - including informing the public of the risks of cell phone use and the precautionary measures to take to decrease radiation exposure - NOT articles like this that lure the public into believing wireless technology is safe and donating funds for research that holds empty promises.

We have reported this practice by Apple to the group, Breast Cancer Action which raises awareness of the public to such distracting pink-washing practices.

It wasn't long ago that cell phones were accused of being a potential cause of cancer, much less a cure. Times have changed, the National Cancer Institute  has put many of our cell phone fears to rest, and now there's reason to hope that our smartphones can actually help identify and squash cancer once and for all.
