Spring Valley eighth-graders win gold medal at state science fair
SPRING VALLEY — Spring Valley eighth-graders Lanie Hannon and Gianna Elias, both 14, were honored by board members and seventh- and eighth-grade science teacher Bryan Dickinson during the Spring Valley Elementary Board meeting, Wednesday, May 20, at John F. Kennedy School.
Their science fair project, “Ringing Radiation,” an experiment concerning different factors of cellular phone radiation, recently won a gold medal during the state science fair competition. The purpose of their experiment was to find which cellular company’s signal type and strength produced the most electromagnetic radiation.
