SOUTHBOROUGH — During a Board of Health meeting Wednesday afternoon, Cece Doucette of Ashland pulled out a meter to track Wi-Fi signals in the room.
She pointed out radiation levels rising as Paul Pisinski, the town's public health director, booted up a streaming video on his iPad.
Doucette, and a Southborough woman who didn't want her name publicized, presented to the board numerous possible impacts of wireless Internet and cellphone use. The two spoke of alleged effects on people of all ages, including links to cancer, autism and reproductive problems.
The discussion was designed as a launching point on how to get the word out, they said.
For the past few years, Doucette, a mother of two, has been researching the potential risks of Wi-Fi radiation.
