SAN DIEGO - Chances are you haven't read the fine print of your cell phone safety manual. Most of them say, don't keep your phone directly against your body.
We're learning distance is your friend. Even a few inches can limit your exposure to potentially cancer-causing radiation.
Cell phones still haven't been around long enough for us to know the long-term side effects, but there is a call, nationwide from pediatricians who want parents to limit their child's exposure to cell phones, and are asking the FCC to strengthen its guidelines. “We live in a world where there are more cell phones than people,” SDSU Lecturer Wendy Patrick said.
