When researching safety information for mobile phones, here is what I found concerning a Blackberry smartphone. Safety warnings seem to be getting lengthier and more detailed. But who reads them? Maintain distance from your body
When you wear the smartphone close to your body, use a BlackBerry approved holster with an integrated belt clip, or maintain a distance of 0.59 in. (15 mm) between your smartphone and your body while the smartphone is transmitting. Use of body-worn accessories, other than BlackBerry approved holsters with an integrated belt clip, might cause your smartphone to exceed radio frequency exposure standards if the accessories are worn on your body while the smartphone is transmitting. The long term effects of exceeding radio frequency exposure standards might present a risk of serious harm.

Not intended for children
Your smartphone and smartphone accessories are not intended for children. If you allow a child to use or handle your smartphone or smartphone accessories, ensure you strictly supervise the child. Your smartphone contains small parts that are choking hazards to children.
